First few weeks after launch

Posted in category General on May 25th, 2010 at 8:14 AM

We have been working hard for the last 10 months developing solution that we think will change the way how we communicate and collaborate inside organization. Over the last few weeks after we released the product on the market, feedback is awesome. Here is a sample of a few thoughts that you’ve sent or tweet about us:

  • Flowr Is Facebook Skinned for the Enterprise
  • I found something else like Google Wave… “Flowr” and it looks better
  • I will describe this as a perfect mix between Basecamph and Yammer
  • Amazing New Start Up – Great Implementation!
  • You guys rock! something perfectly organized, that’s exactly what I was looking for
  • Easy-to-use online collaboration tool for the Enterprise.
  • Killer App. Build it. People WILL use it!

We have a lot of other ideas, but for the next few weeks we’ll listen carefully to your feedback and your wishes. We are building this product for you and companies who need better collaboration tools inside organizations.

We are reading and responding to your feedback and I’m happy to say, that we will release majority of current feature requests already in this week. For all our fans that expressed a wish to translate Flowr into your native language, we have prepared an online system for translation. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to help us with translations and see Flowr in your language.

Last, but absolutely not least, big thanks to our team. We have worked hard, it’s a great journey so far and we are really looking forward to the future.

How to use Flowr for your media and PR clipping

Posted in category General on May 20th, 2010 at 11:03 AM

Flowr has been getting a steady stream of mentions across the web and in various social media circles. It’s always a good idea to track and document (as in media clipping) all the mentions of your brand so you can go back later and contact them again and let them know of new releases or that you’ve addressed their concerns.

The two basic tools for this that we’re using are: Flowr groups and Flowr bookmarklet that integrates with your browser.

Start by going into Groups view in top-right corner of your network and create a new Group. We call it Flowr mentions, but do put your brand in.

This will give you a nice new group that anyone can participate in and share any mention of the company that they find online.

Also make sure that you install Bookmarklet, that you can find under Tools section in top-right corner. This will allow you to share links into this group with a single click on a bookmark.

With just one click you’ll share the links with everyone in the group and make it also searchable for later:

You’re not limited to just links. You can also go and upload whole screenshots of pages or PDF documents. This way you can use Flowr group as the place to store all your files and you’ll never lose them again on one of your network drives. Anyone can also easily comment on the shared link so that you can discuss any positive or negative mentions and how you woud like to address the comments.

Are you using Flowr for PR clipping and tracking mentions? Share your experience in the comments.

Releasing Flowr into the wild

Posted in category General on May 6th, 2010 at 1:11 PM

After 10 months of development and lots of great feedback from our advisors and beta testers we area happy to announce that from today on we are open for public. Anyone can now create their own network in a matter of seconds.

Right now you can create only free network. We’ll be soon introducing a way to upgrade to a premium version with more available storage and other premium features. Until then our free version have certain premium features, like extended customization of design of your network, turned on.

This is just a first step in a series of new features we have planned for May. As always, let us know of any ideas or questions you have about the Flowr.
